Background

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University. I have worked as a part-time manager at a crisis shelter for women and children victims of domestic violence, and I did my practicum as a school counselor for adolescents at an Aurora middle school. I interned and worked at a private practice for a total of four and a half years before starting Green Fox Counseling in early 2019. 

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, individual adults, and families. My original style integrates a variety of therapies including: Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Family Systems. I also completed a training for EMDR through Maiberger Institute in September 2020.

As we all know, life can be wild, mixed up chaos. Some days we may feel as though we are on top of the world while other days we may feel as though we have been given more than we can handle. That’s okay. The beauty of therapy is having someone by your side to celebrate the highs and encourage you through the lows, someone to listen without judgement or bias, someone to give a fresh perspective. I hope to be that person for you. 

 

Throughout my school career, I was constantly reminded about the importance of the client-therapist relationship when it comes to making progress and meaningful change. It wasn’t until I became a therapist, however, that I truly began to understand just how key that relationship really is. So developing that bond will always be one of my greatest priorities. I like to balance hard work with a dose of humor in order to create a comfortable environment. I’m also flexible, understanding that while I have the tools and education to offer, you know yourself best. We will work together to find the support and solutions for the things in life that you can control so you can walk away with a stronger sense of balance and wellbeing when it comes to navigating the things in life that you can't control.
